Barry Town United face a Cymru Premier test away to Penybont this Friday evening. The match at Bryntirion Park kicks off at 19:45 as the regular season continues.
Gavin Chesterfield's side go into the game sitting fourth in the table with 25 points from 12 matches. Their last outing was a 1-0 victory at Caernarfon Town, where N. Daley scored the decisive goal in the tenth minute. That result improved their recent form to two wins, one draw and two losses from their last five games.
Team news and recent form
Barry Town's most recent starting eleven included goalkeeper G. Ratcliffe, defenders M. George and N. Daley, and midfielder J. Lester. They will face a Penybont side in strong form, having won four of their last five matches, including a 5-1 victory at Ammanford. Penybont's only defeat in that run was a narrow 1-0 loss away to league leaders GAP Connah's Quay.
Barry Town's next assignment after this trip is a home game against Trefelin on October 30th. The full standings show the club nine points behind leaders The New Saints.
