Barry Town United's clash with Cardiff Met this Saturday will be the first Novira Cymru Premier game to be broadcast on BBC iPlayer. The fixture, kicking off at 12.30pm on August 15, marks the start of a new three-year broadcast deal between BBC Cymru Wales and the Football Association of Wales (FAW).

Under the agreement, a minimum of 20 live Novira Cymru Premier games will be shown on BBC iPlayer each season until summer 2029. This deal strengthens BBC Cymru Wales' commitment to provide live coverage of Welsh football, following their recent announcement to show all of the UEFA Wales men's international games up until Euro 2028.

Carolyn Hitt, head of sport at BBC Cymru Wales, said: "We're so pleased to be announcing this new deal with the FAW to show games throughout the next three years of the Novira Cymru Premier."

What's Next for Barry Town United?

The second broadcast will feature Ammanford versus Connah's Quay Nomads on August 22, also at 12.30pm. Jack Sharp, head of domestic leagues at the FAW, said: "I am delighted to welcome the BBC back to Welsh domestic football through this new three-year partnership."
